Beatification of Father Doctor Ambrosoli
Beatification is the third step of four in the process of a deceased person achieving sainthood. It is a declaration by the Catholic Church that the person is blessed and is the celebration of that person entering Heaven. Beatification requires two important qualities of a person: heroism and miraculous power.
Beatification of Father/Doctor Ambrosoli occurred on November 20, 2022.
1st and 2nd Anniversary of Blessed Joseph Ambrosoli
Just like any anniversary of memorable events, the anniversary when Fr. Dr. Joseph Ambrosoli was lifted to Blessed Joseph Ambrosoli will always be a day of renewal of faith for the people of God.
Fr. Joseph Ambrosoli was lifted to Blessed Joseph Ambrosoli on the 20th November 2022. The earthly title of father and Doctor no longer count in the heavenly realm. That is why we now call him “Blessed Joseph Ambrosoli”. After the beatification, it was decided that his anniversary will always be on the 28th July of every year
Why do we continue remembering him in our life?
Because Blessed Joseph Ambrosoli was the Founder of Ambrosoli Complex (The Hospital and the School) has left a legacy. We have a lot of his virtues to emulate
As a priest, the priests, and religious men and women alike take him as a role model in following Christ in totality, without reserve until death.
As a doctor, we the medical personnel look up to him for guidance in our profession. We admired his dedication to his patients. He blended his life as a Priest and Doctor to serve humanity.
He served as a soldier and that helped him always to protect the vulnerable. Blessed Joseph Ambrosoli had an extraordinary virtue that anyone can emulate to follow Christ
For St. Mary’s Midwifery family, we have his relic in the school, a sign that he is with us always as a Founder and intercessor
The two anniversaries drew thousands of people from all over Uganda who came to express their faith in the man of God to intercede for them. The celebrations were very colourful in both anniversaries.
We therefore pray that we emulate his spirit in serving humanity
